The Lumicam uses a face detection engine to determine if people are looking at the camera. It then tracks the viewers across the screen. It performs gender detection on these viewers and also calculates how long a viewer has looked at the camera for.
The Lumicam system has advanced motion tracking functions and does not get confused even if the viewer looks away from the camera momentarily. Once the viewer has been away from the screen for an extended period of time the system logs their viewing time.

Data logging is performed every ten minutes and user can select how many hours the system should run for. Once the set time has elapsed the Lumicam will automatically close down and store the data.

The data collected is automatically processed and stored as Excel files for further analysis later. Charts are also automatically drawn so that the user can compare trends for each day and month.
